Thank you to all of you who have been my support over the past year plus. As I posted a few weeks ago, my husband has gone to the country where OW and his Dad live. After two weeks there, he advised me today that he is not coming back to the US and intends to permanently relocate to the other country. He says all he wants are his personal things from out of our house and visitation with our son. Given that news, I really have no other alternatives left. I telephoned the less expensive of the two attorneys with whom I had previously consulted re: my rights and left instructions to proceed with filing for divorce. Happy Anniversary to me

A man who moves out of the country is essentially abandoning his baby son. "Visitation" is like "Uncle Mike" coming over once in awhile. He is not a Dad .... he is a visitor.

Dumb stupid man!

So sorry.....

BB...I'm sorry to hear this news...there are things we will never understand.

I guess all I can say is that it is perhaps best to believe that even though we do not understand them, they must make some sense to him, in his own way. And however wrong or foolish they seem to us, everyone, in the end, has the right to make those decisions for themselves and live with the consequences they bring.

I know how hard this is, BB. You know I was there not too long ago. Have faith in yourself, in your child, and in the certainty that there is some good here somewhere; even if we cannot imagine it right now. And of course we can't.

Bless you!

PS; and you don't HAVE to move to the D/D board!

Hi BB,

I have not followed your thread, this one caught my eye. Most of us want to see M's go to the recovery thread, unfortunately there are those that don't. I'm sorry you are one of them.

As time goes on, I hope you find happiness from all of this.

BB,

I am so sorry that it has come to this. Just know that you tried hard and did what you could do. This is on him, not on you.

The person who said that he will be a visitor to your son is right. A dad is around as much as he can be.

Again, I am so sorry.

Peace and comfort to you Brit's Brat. I know there is little we can offer in the way of either comfort or peace, but we are here with you in spirit. Many of us are walking with you on this journey of nonsense and I am truly sorry that your WH has decided to take this action (or inaction/not dealing with reality/running away).

I try and believe that there is more good to come to those of us that are walking this path, but on my more cynical days I just get plain angry at these inconsiderate WS.

Take care.

It must be one of these days... looks like the whole of the "Class of 2002" is filing

Brit Brat - I'm sad about your story, and share your anger. All I can do is hope that you will find happiness one day - soon.
