Does anyone know of any good herbal remedies for Erectile Disfunction? My WS has been having problems since D-Day. I am hoping that is it not just psychological and some kind of 'pill' will help him. He doesn't want to discuss it with Doctor so Viagra is out. Thanks for all help.

Heartbroken, for years I thought my H had a "problem" (ED) because his 2nd wife had left him, become a lesbian (first), and THEn had a sex-change operation (except for the "plumbing"-you know what a penile transplat costs-25 grand!). Thi is something that could mess anyones' sex drive up. But nope, it turned out H had had a problem for a long time-just never bothered to inform ME about it before marriage. (And NO, this is not a plot for a Jerry Springer show). But be VERY careful about "herbal" remedies for ED-most don't work, and some can be harmful and even fatal, as they raise blood pressure and can cause a stroke. I don't think the FDA approves any of the herbal "remedies" for ED-and for good reason. They seldom have any controls over manufacture or actual amount of bioavailability of the active ingredient in them (that means the amount of the substance that actually works, as apart from the standard "fillers" which bind the other ingredients and form the capsule or pill form. So take those "come-on" advertisements with a LARGE grain of salt, because almost 100% of these products are a sham. And believe me, if I thought any of them really worked, and were safe, I'd have been buying them by the gross for H years ago-almost 14 years without sex is just too much for anyone! Take care, "Desperate"

Since you can't force him to go see his doctor to have a complete checkup, you may be better off to give him a few weeks to see if his erections return.

Thank you to everyone for answering. CoffeeMan I have read several of your posts and you give very good advice. I will ease up on him and let him go at his own pace. As for going to the Doctor, his reply has been upgraded to a "maybe." I do believe he will have physical eventually.
