Mid March - Wife left and confessed to her affair, she wanted to be with her married affair partner.

I plan "A" from mid March to End of May.

Then her affair partner decided to break off the affair and work on his marriage. He's told me and his wife that regardless of his marriage he knows my wife and he will not be a couple again. What Ever!

Upon being dumped my wife told me she needed more space and wouldn't be calling me for some time and I shouldn't call her, that "I should move on" which she's said to me before she was dumped.I told her that was fine and reminded her that she asked me to give her space in May and that she has been the one calling me and that I was here for her.

I'm looking for some advice regarding what to do when my wife does call again. It's been 5 weeks now and she's currently on holidays. When she gets back it will be 7 weeks. I expect she may call after she gets back.

What should I do?

Could I send her an email asking about her holidays or should I wait for her to call?

Ask if the affair is over? I could call the other mans wife for an update but that seems to piss my wife off.I knew my wife was getting dumped before she did.

Continue to plan A?
Move to plan B? it feels like I'm in one now.

My wife has never looked back since she left other than a phone call or two each week (until end of May) and the occasional lunch. She seems unconcerned about my feelings and has never thanked me for my efforts regarding my Plan A.

The best way to describe what's going is my wife left for other man and slowly began to have less contact with me. Then he dumps her and she goes no contact with me pulling further away.

What do you think? Do you think you have Plan Aed enough? (Did she give you opportunity to?)

It sure does seem like a Plan B now (her choice) and would be easy to make it official, just a letter and no contact.

It may be time to let her have what she wants...a bit like kicking her when she's down. Truly give her no contact. I think she always believes she can go back to you, her fallback. What if you're not there? Is the timing right? Only you can say for sure.

I've been told Plan B should come as a shock. I liked the week or two of warning before hand though, "I love you, but I'm not going to wait forever" type statements. Then when Plan B comes, then what they feared comes true. You have given up. When it actually you go before you have given up completely, when you still have a little love left.

Only you can know how much further you can go in Plan A, and if the timing is right for Plan B.
