55 stitches later....yes, although the pain was nearly unbearable, holding my newborn son was a positive moment. (didn't know there was that much room for thread down.....) nevermind! I find my joy, my only joy, in my children. They are 2 very sweet, delightful, smart little boys. #1 is very inquisitive and catches onto everything. He can already drive the tractor. Boy # 2 is always smiling. He's as calm as a kid can be (except at night. He likes to nurse ALL night. I could use a little help with that, too) Yes, my kids are the bright spot in my world. People that cut in line or go to the wrong checkout with too many things....stuff like that doesn't bother me. It's the personal assaults that get me. And maybe I take too much of life personally. No maybe's, I'm sure I do. But how do you balance that without becoming insensitive and cold? Somehow, the truth got out at work. I work in the same place as OM, and my H works there too. It's going to get real messy. Not sure how to handle it. I have not seen or spoken to OM since Friday. Now I dread going back to work. I think I will be fired.

Doing- 55 stiches! Wow! One more reason why I don't want kids. And I'm a guy!
OK, joy in your children, that is a start. What else? There are many things we find joy and happiness in our lives, unfortunately we focus too much on the bad and not enough on the good. Usually if we look for the good in a situation we will see that we really don't have it that bad.
The checkout line story has just a story as an example. I think your could juxtapose that onto situations in your life. Right?
Personal assults like what? For instance someone says your fat? Maybe you are maybe you are not. That is merely their perception and they are entitled to that. They also don't have the right to make a comment like that at your expense. They are entitled to their opinion and you are entitled to yours. The point is you choose to feel sad or upset at a comment like that. They didn't make you upset, you did.
OM at work. If your A is really over then you should quit your job so as not to see OM again. That is part of the NC rule.

By the end of the month, OM will be working a different shift, and contact with him will be rare. I am the only person who does my job, and unless they fire me over this (can they do that?? ) I can't leave until someone else is trained to replace me, and that takes a month to do. The place I work has been advertising all summer to fill the other half of my position ( I work part time) and now they finnaly have 3 apps. I'm contracted, mot an employee. It's a really messed up situation. And my H will likely have to work with OM at least 3 days a week. Yes,I know. It couldn't be much worse. I want to quit and just be home with my boys. I'd like nothing better. Injured child- he fell and hit his head. must go........
