OK, so Redhat posts this thread about MB picnic in the Bay Area. Silly me, I looked, thinking maybe it was Florida. Maybe Silly Redhat, thinking the ONLY Bay area is on the West Coast (of the U.S.).

Now...how many of us are here? California is having a picnic, Minnesota is having a bonfire - I guess I don't have to even remotely consider a bonfire in the Sunshine State!!!

But I am curious...how many of us are here?

ISGirl,

I am not only Silly but also Gooffy too . BayArea is applied to eveyone ... but they have to come here for the picnic . LOL !!!. I am sure there are many MBer from TOBa (The Other BayArea), they might be just a bit shy ... HEY YOU ... YES YOU ... YOU KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE ... support your area. I might show up whatever ISGirl going to organize ... as long as it is on Sunday when my 2 D is not with me.

I'm from SC. However we did a thread on this in recovery several months back...........
Almost everyone over there has ties to Florida.
So much so that we began to wonder what was in the water there????

POst this over there too.

ISGirl,

I am from Florida - the undiscovered part - about 8-9 hours from Tampa Bay.

Last Christmas, I went to an MB Lunch in NYC while on vacation - It was really great to put a face to the names we see on the boards.

I guess there is something in the water. We're from FL. Just don't live there right now. We'll be back in a few years. (Hopefully not sooner, if things don't work out.

Just 15 miles north of the Florida border on I-75 routinely go to Jax, Tampa, Gainesville, Orlando and Tallahassee.

I am in a town sometimes referred to (sarcastically) northern FLA. Just over the border on the east coast. THE very 1st town in Georgia.

GROUND ZERO!!!!!
Ka-Boom!

Hey Stunned-Dad, how many days straight of rain have you had?
We are at 30-something. Everything is soooooo moldy, mildewy, slimy w/ algea. My Sunny South tan is faded. I have swamp creatures living in my belly botton. My allergies are driving me insane. Baby Fiddle's allergies are worse.

Aaaaaah....

Gotta love the sunny south.

Zu-Zu Petals is in Fla.

rh,

Thank you for the laugh. I really needed it tonight. A bad one.

WH is getting ready to TOTALLY move out (home office included)...just as I was still holding out hope that Plan B was going to make him see the light.

Thank God for this forum. What would I do without this support?

Need to find more FL MB'ers so I can get FOCUSED and organize something!

St Mary's, Kingsland or Folkston....which one is it just north of eastern Fl?

Curious because I know quite a few folks in that area and ran a TG&Y in the late 70's there abouts.

And only if you forgive me for the Father's Day posts........ I have learned alot since then.

What is TG&Y?

lemme see?
hmmm....
a clue....
immediate coast. Actaully, the ocean is right over there. But, I hate this part, it takes me 45 minutes to find a beach. Fernandina or Jekyll.
Been to the coastal area lately?
It has really changed since I moved here. I had been visiting here for approx. (how old is 6'4" baby boy? hmmmm....?) ummm... 16 yrs. What a no where this used to be. SCARY!!!! Paper mill was closed FINALLY this past Nov. The sky is actually visible now, one can breath and not gasp. oooo.... It doesn't smell like dirty diapers anymore. They thought the town would die. HAH! Now there is a gated community going in in my back yard, VERY expencive houses. Driving our property taxes thru the roof, upping the assessed value of our houses, priced so they really will not sell.

But, the down town has improved amzingly. People are actually putting $ into the restoration of what is left of the original buildings (c. 1870 plus) Actually nice.

so, Stunned, where are you?

How is the baby boy?

hugs

Wow!
24 hours w/o rain.
Oh my gosh, I don't know how to take this.
I am afraid to looka t the sky and take the sun for granted.

Maybe the swamp creatures living in my belly button will have to leave.

There is a lady that moved from here to Orlando that I would like to visit after my financial settlement. If it would matter for ISGirl, I might drive down to Tampa ... to check the water ... LOL !. Organize something, I could go during my off week from my 2 D. I could work anywhere there is Internet Connection or T-Mobile data coverage would do also. If it is not b/c my 2 D schools I might be already working from the Maui beach .
