Here is a link to an article that I found at msn.com regarding fidelity in relationships.

So I guess the thinking is "If it is good for the birds it should be good for humans" right?

Mating for life seems to work for the albatross and the swan, so why can't it work for humans?

There's only one little problem. Animals have no choice but to follow their genetic programming, while we humans have the ability to bipass our genetic programming and thus chose (ot not chose) to follow it. Although sometimes I wonder who really got the short end of the stick. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

STTSI:

I guess I haven't seen your recent posts. How are you and I'mready doing? Is this thread based on a real problem remerging, or are you just dwelling (like ol' 2long is so famous for!)?

Re albatrosses, your post reminded me of one of my favorite "Pink" songs:

"Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves,
The echo of a distant tide comes willowing across the sand and everything is green and submarine.

And no one showed us to the land and no one knows the wheres or whys,
But something stares and something tries and starts to climb towards the light.

Strangers passing in the street, by chance two separate glances meet, and I am you and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand, and lead you through the land, and help me understand the best I can.

And no one calls us to the land and no one crosses there alive.
And no one speaks and no one tries and no one flies around the sun.

And now this is the day you fall upon my waking eyes, inviting and inciting me to rise.
And through the window in the wall, comes streaming in on sunlight wings, a million bright ambassadors of morning.

And no one sings me lullabies, and no one makes me close my eyes
And so I throw the windows wide and call to you across the skies."
