My FWH had an emotional affair... that included them being lovers once... last year. He was with this woman for 1 month then spent a further few months emailing etc... Same old story FOG... trying to end it which eventually he did we have worked wonders on our marriage we are both very deeply back in love. He will always have some small feelings for her but.... she is certainly no longer in our lives but... like all old friends etc he will always care what happens to her and how she is... I guess similar to how I would feel about X boyfriends/friends. So I can understand this. He never mentions her and to be honest 99.9 per cent of the time she is gone and forgotten. I see he adores me... he shows me every day how much he loves me..I in return feel exactly the same about him I worship him he is my life and I can never imagine not being with him. As much as anyone can be certain... I trust him now not to go down that path again with another BUT.... AND THE BIG BUT!!!!!! is why am I still angry/hurt... why cant i let go... Our marriage is now a million times better than it has ever been we are comunicating we show each other all the time that we love each other... but... I still bring up the past I will make the occasional comment... Like the other day my Husband was explaining to our children about a friends marriage and that sometimes couples fight when they live together over little things... and I say YEAH like screwing another woman.... my eldest son cracked up laughing..and made a similar coment to his father. I make little jokes a lot why cant I just get over it....??? We are also friends with her family sometimes I wonder wether this contact is healthy for us.. We do not talk about her. They are very supportive of H and I or should we stop all contact with them... which would be sad as they are good friends.... but.... We have not had any coucilling over this which is a lot of ways has been good for us... as we had to sit and talk and open up to each other and not throw blame so we could work through this together....
HOW DO I GET RID OF MY PAIN AND ANGER... pleeeease can anyone help me.

You can't get over the anger because you have a right to be angry and there must still be some things that are not worked out. Has he answered all your questions?, have you developed a plan so this doesn't happen again? Sounds like you could use some counseling. The little "jokes" show that you still need to resolve some issues. There are lots of smart people here who can help. Good luck, but get to the bottom of this, WS's are always wanting to move on as if it was no big deal, but it was to you.
