It's been a week since I confronted WS with evidence of her A with OM. The discussion was quite emotional with WW exhibiting what appeared to be sorrow over the pain she caused me. I have put plan A into action. As I expected, since this is a 'soulmate' A it is going to be a tough battle. We have know OM and his wife for a long time. I have avoided telling OM's wife on the condition that WS not contact him. To nobody's surprise WW has not honored this condition. But, I had to try.
Today I caught her talking to OM while she thought I was in the garage working on the car. I had left the car running and came inside to get a work shirt. That is when I overheard her talking to OM. This is so sad!! Now I must tell WW that I will contact OM's wife, as well as our pastor and ask for their help in ending the A.
I learned from our son's addiction that pain is the way to cure the addiction. The pain of the addiction must be stronger than the temporary good feelings of the drug. Obviously, the pain of the A must now be increased so that it is greater than the good feelings of the A.
Dear God, I hate this. [ October 21, 2003, 09:54 PM: Message edited by: auto009988 ]

Don't consider it giving her pain to reveal the affair. It is helping her to heal and helping the OM to look at his own M.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

auto, I would also caution you against telling your wife of your plans to tell the OM's wife. That will blow up in your face and probably result in the OMW not getting the true story.
Your W will only alert the OM and he will get to his W first to alert her that you are a jealous nut who "wrongly" suspects that he is having an affair with your W. Then when you do talk to her, she will be very dubious about your story.
And he has the advantage because no wife WANTS to believe that her H is having an affair. She won't WANT to believe you, because believing you will break her heart and disrupt her life.
So, please don't alert your W. It will only result in a delay of the truth for the OMW and she desperately needs to know the truth so she can take steps to protect herself from her H.

Be sure to take all the hard evidence with you so that she can see that you are not making all this up.
