Tonight we both faced the music. Despite IC, reading, discussing and working, a year has passed and there is virtually nothing left to build on. We finally admitted that it is dead. I have tried numerous times to hang in and push ahead despite no emotional attachment. After a year, why is there still nothing?

After posting in recovery forum I was motivated yet again to "try harder." I am lying to myself. I have just been afraid to face it.

I would appreciate any encouragement. I feel so alone right now. A word for those who are too busy with their life to tend to their marriage. Please don't wait. It's hard to awaken the dead.

Have you and H been in counseling? Have you read Harley’s book on “Surviving an Affair?” Do you know about the emotional needs questionnaire to help the two of you understand the EN’s of the other person?

Share any information you feel comfortable with – Age, number of years married, length of A, etc.
