Have my 3 daughters 4 nights per week and very grateful for that as a divorced dad as their mother continues to pursue more relationships with other guys (Which isn't against the rules anymore by any means because were divorced)
But its just seems like you sit there thinking "This isn't how I drew this up on the chaulkboard of life"--To call your daughters one one of the nites you are away from them and Have them say..."Hi Daddy, I miss you. MOMMY HAS A BOYFRIEND."
I certainly don't want to whine, but just seems unfair that Wayward's really do move on with their life much quicker don't they?

SEEMS does not always reflect reality. Consider that MOST men, unlike women, don't want a committed relationship with a woman with kids. Oh sure they may tell her that they love her and the kids, but it is only to get her to have sex with them. After they have had their way or get sick and tired of her, they'll dump her like yesterday's trash. Besides your XW does not have what it takes to make a relationship work, and that is going to haunt ALL her relationships with the men that enter her life. Unless she changes herself for the better, she is doomed to go from one failed relationship to another and end up being a very old and lonely woman.

It only seems like they move on much quicker because they got a head start on us. We were still thinking we were married and committed, while they were already moving on. But life will be good to you soon. You have been the one taking the high road and in the end that is the best way.

TMCM-
Oh I think she'll change for the better. She assured me she will never make the mistake of being unfaithful again, but the problem is someone else will be the beneficiary of that

By the way...what do you all think of that?
"I'll never make the mistake of being unfaithful again"
Translation "I am going to be a really good girlfreind/wife to the next lucky guy, thanks for being my guniea pig."
Man thats tough to swallow...hurts

While everything is possible, I highly doubt that just simply stating it will make it so.

Hi RH, </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">by believer: It only seems like they move on much quicker because they got a head start on us. </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I think that's it! Or, they only had one foot in the door to start with, so it was easier to make a quick exit. You deserve a woman with both feet committed to the marriage! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
I've often felt like the guinnea pig. And that my life doesnt look anything like I'd sketched on that ole chaulk board. But I seriously doubt she's figured it all out. Take care - Dru

They may be moving more quickly away from the marriage, but they aren't moving forward. If you take one step forward, and she's taking three steps back, you're still the one making progress. I once heard the saying, "We don't know where we're going, but we're making good time." Waywards expend a lot of energy and heartache without getting to a better place than the one they left behind.
