I have been interested to read several messages in the last few days that refer to "players" and the ways and means they employ to lure women. It seems that these men know what needs the women are missing in their lives and know what to say and do to win their trust. I would really appreciate some input from those who know more about this. How is it that women can so easily be "taken" into a situation like this? Would you guys share your point of view, too. The posts I have read so far have made me realize how naive I am.

I too was very naive about "players". I've heard my 18 year old daughter refer to guys her age as players, but I thought that was exclusive to her generation. I was badly mistaken. I'm 42 and was taken in by a 52 year old "player". He was very smooth and very charming. He said all the right things. I was totally taken in by him and didn't realize who or what he was until I had gotten in over my head!! Some lessons are easier learned in high school than middle aged!!

Hey Lisa,

How did you find out what he was? Was he not really interested in you as a person? Did you think he might have "been the one?"
