Sure, you can get them anytime, when an affair is going on or not. But they are not an STD.

Get tested, just in case.

I would get checked and be honest with your doctor, that your husband had an affair. I did talk to my Dr. and now she has me getting the AIDS testing, every year. The signs sometimes won't show up till later in the years. Can take 10 years to show up.

Look into the different veneral diseases you can get, and the symptoms. I would definitely get checked out. The outcome could be devastating if you have contacted something from your husband, and of course he would have to tell the OW.

Part of the betrayed syndrome. We get all the crap, literally all the crap, and then we have to be honest the rest of our lives, if we find someone that we would like to fall in love with. That is what I will have to do to anyone that would happen to come into my life. Therefore, I will probably be single the rest of my life. And hsuband I know has no problem with that, cause he decided to fall for a woman, that had sex with a pastor of the church, and he has been known to have gotten around. So who knows what she is carrying, and what she may have passed on to her husband, and etc. The circle goes around and around.

Sometime's UTI's are caused from stress, but you can get UTI's via your partner. If this is the case you both need to be treated or you will keep getting it. When my spouse first came back I did the same thing. I kept treating and getting it back again. He had no symptoms. My doctor finally told me we both needed to be treated. I then told her about the affair and she said it was a possibility that he got it from her or just that he had one and was passing it to me. In any case, you both probably need to be treated because you can also pass it on to him.
