I feel like "George Bailey"!!!
"Dear Friend" knows I'm broke for Christmas, and struggling with the basic need stuff. Yet according to her, she "marvels" at my ability to laugh(often at myself!)and my "I'll make do", "things will get better" attitude. That makes me feel even "stronger" to hear that! Anyways, I had told the boys that I had to concentrate on "SANTA" happening for 4 yr.old D and that I hoped they would understand if there is nothing for them under the tree. They are good kids!! They understand. The phone rang at 7:30 this morning. It was my "dear friend". She has some good friends, good people who are well off. She told them my story without telling them who I am(yet I'm sure they know), and they wanted the boys Christmas Wish List! They are all out shopping and calling her to tell her what they are picking up for my kids!! Her last call was to tell me that there was also $270 in cash for gifts & groceries as well!! She said that may not be the last!! I am blown away at the generosity and spirit of the season!! I feel like "George Bailey"! I really do! I am truly blessed and humbled by it all! I will definately "Pass it On" when I am able!! I wanted to share my happy Christmas story with you! Please Share your stories here, big or small, I think we all could use the lift!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! Love, Shugah

Shugah, I posted one of your previous messages in: "How do you recall good memories?"
It was very inspiring to me at a time that I really needed it; especially when you said your husband was NOT the man he truly is; he was like a person addicted to drugs and the DRUG (THE OW) was basically controlling his personality.
That was SO TRUE with my man also! THANKS AGAIN Love, Julie Jo Oh by the way, that was nice of your friend and I am sure you will pass 'the monetary part' on some day; however, I am sure you are passing 'good will' on EVERY DAY. [ December 20, 2003, 01:27 PM: Message edited by: Blessed TIME ]

Shugah,
What great kids you have, so understanding. I'm sure you must be very proud of them. And WOW, what a great friend, I mean, I wish everyone here had friends like yours. Especially at this time of year when most people are struggling financially and emotionally.
I'm sure this is God's way of letting you know that he is there for you. Through your friend he is showing you his infinite love, how awesome is that!
I myself am struggling with the holidays, my girls need/want so many things and my STBX keeps telling me that he can't afford to help me with gifts and such. Yet I heard from a very reliable source that he has bought everything the OW's 6yo son has asked for.
I'm sure that if I told my parents that things are worse then they know they would help me but, I don't want to put any extra financial/emotional strain on them at this time. They have been so wonderful throughout this whole situation. I think they are Gods way of showing me his infinite love and I thank him everyday for that.
It does makes me mad/sad though to think that my girls have to do without while he is supporting a child that isn't even his. He always did want a son, I guess now he has one (not one of his own but, he can still play daddy for awhile)
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get into all this I just wanted to let you know that I think it's awesome that you have such a good friend and that God is making his presence known to you at this very special time of year.
Happy Holidays to you God bless
