I really wish I could get inide the mind of a WS. Then again....maybe all I would find is cobwebs.
I can't figure out what the heck is going on with mine.
Saturday night he tells me not to bother asking him to do ANYTHING for me anymore and that he was only going to pay certain bills from now on and so on.
Sunday he acts as if nothing happened.
Monday he came over after he got off of work to get a couple of checks for some bills and still acted as if nothing happened. He acts a little reserved when my mother is here. I think he's actually afraid of her....lol
She was in the shower when he came back....the girls were gone getting ice cream with his parents. He acted like he didn't want to leave. Kept standing at the door...and when he finally walked out he kept looking back. I didn't walk him out this time.
Today I went to pick up my oldest daughter from volleyball practice and he calls me just to talk. Guess he had nothing better to do. He ended up calling me a total of 7 or 8 times....just being a joker. I hung up on him 6 times and finally just turned my cell phone off.
What the heck is going on? He is so confusing.
I do know that he hasn't been spending as much time over at the OW's house.....not sure why....but know she's doing some pretty horrible things to her STXH.....not letting him see his kids....fighting for custody when she said she wouldn't....wanting child support all the sudden.....supposedly has a restraining order against him....not sure.....don't make it my business anymore.
I just wish this would all end......right now. I'm about ready to move on and just leave him behind....I hate games.

Dear MP,
Yep that's what is sounds like. Too frequent and wild changes, Jekyl and Hyde personalities. When H did that I was convinced that OW had drugged him with her teas that she sells. Nope, the A was strong enough and he was weak enough to do that to him. Still reeling from the after effects of that. OW is wicked. I called her a witch and wonders if she does dabble.... hm......
So what can you do? Well during one of his reasonable episodes, ask him what he would do if a good friend was like that (then describe the condition - not his specific incidents). I did that with H, he was very firm about calling that one a lunatic. I just looked at him and said hm......, eventually he got it. Didn't accuse, just wondering out loud. hm.....
Don't follow his wild queues though, it will just hurt. He wants a tantrum, let him have it by himself. walk away. This may trigger him more, but oh well better by himself than around you. Remember you are not to be exposed to excessive stress.
Take Care,
L.
While H and I were separated I finally told him that I was convinced he had an evil twin. Unfortunately I had no way of knowing which twin I would get to see or talk to on any given day. I explained this in a letter to him. He came over the next day, hugged me and said "The good twin is here today." Then he told me he realized that he was fighting depression (FIANLLY!) and his behavior was not normal. I said "If I make you a Dr. appt. will you go?" and he said yes. Previously he adamantly denied that anything was wrong with him mentally. He was back home for good within a month and I never saw the evil twin again after that day.

Maybe the fog is clearing some. He maybe seeing the way the OW is with her H, and he's realizing she is evil... Just wanted to let you know that my WH so much the same as what you've described. One day, he's in "divorce" mode and the next it's "would you like for me to get the groceries done".
Don't give up. I would say that inconsistent behaviour in this situation is definitely a positive thing. It means he's not so sure, right?
