Got stopped by a train this morning (for 15 minutes) and the woman in front of me threw a half smoked, STILL BURNING cigarette out her window onto the road. <P>As cars passed the other way (we were stopped so long people were giving up and turning around) the STILL BURNING cigarette was getting nudged closer and closer to the PARCHED grass on the side of the road. I couldn't take it anymore and stormed out of my car, went up next to the lady in front of me and STOMPED ON HER STILL BURNING CIGARETTE!!!<P>I went back to my car and then had to pick the remains of the butt out of the tread of my shoe. ARRRGGGGHHHH.<P>This was an emotional interaction with another woman that did NOT threaten my marriage.<P>Today has certainly started well. <P>--Jeffers

Way to go, Jeff.<P>How is it that cigarette butts don't seem to rank as litter? They get flicked out the window as if they dissolve when they hit the ground.<P>I think you're gonna be OK with this emotional involvement episode. Now if that were your WS, it would be an LB but since it was done out of frustration but more importantly out of concern, it is considered heroic.<P>Funny you just went from being a chump to a hero. M&J, WAT, Orchid:<P>I'm laughing about it now. <P>That was more aggression than I usually show in a WHOLE YEAR.<P>Actually, WAT, in my state (SC) cigarette butts ARE considered litter and State Troopers WILL arrest you (if they catch you).
