I love playing games, but not so much with total strangers, is more fun with folks you know even if only cyber know. Here is a link to yahoo games, they have a free fame called literati (which is scrabble essentially, but does not violate copyrights). First sign in, my suggestion is to use a name similar to MB...I just signed up as SnL_MB (cause snl was taken). After you have an account (they are free) we can go into the literati area, we will pick a room, and can play...like real life 4 can play, but they have the option of watching, so more can "lurk", can keep track here on this thread if anyone is having troubles (I don't have yahoo messaging working at this time). So any one wanna come out and play tonight?
Hopefully this doesn't violate MB forum protocol. Maybe we can try to use as many MB words as possible in the game [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] They also have card games, at least in games we can legitimately kick each others butts without LB...right?
http://games.yahoo.com/
[This message has been edited by sad_n_lonely (edited August 24, 2001).]

Topie....it is called Literati (but is same as scrabble).
I now have a table reserved (is locked at the moment) in the PROSE room, select prose, and the table is #28, you will see my name snl_mb listed in that room. People can enter at will unless you mark it private, which I have for now, as I try to get this organized. So anyone interested just get signed-up check out literati, lurk in someone elses game to get the feel of things, then minimize it on your taskbar until we can get something going. Will anounce it here when ready, probably be a little while... and topie that was FAST
btw I love pinochle, euchre, hearts, spades, bridge, pretty much anything...also like trivia games, maybe can get some kind of game night going....could be a stress reliever of sorts.
[This message has been edited by sad_n_lonely (edited August 24, 2001).]

I'll play ... and as far as violating MB protocol, much worse has been done here than a game or two of scrabble - see you there [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

The rooms don't seem to have a name, it is just #28, and has my name listed first....others names will be on there when I unlock the room. I have it marked private, only by invite, but I haven't figured out how to let people in, so may just turn public back on when everyone is ready. If I just leave it on public "strangers" will come in looking for a game, and I would have to keep explaining is a private game, and boot em...the host can eject anyone they want. On-line gaming is tons of fun, do have your rude crude trolls, one of my friends was practicing a game of checkers and the jerk started asking her what kind of underwear she had on....but mostly people are cool, and just igore the trolls. Everyone go practice a bit that is interested. Up to 5 can play, and I am no sure how many can lurk, but if lots want to play, the overflow can just open another room, is easy to do.
The room is prose, I am not sure what section that was under except was literati
[This message has been edited by sad_n_lonely (edited August 24, 2001).]

I believe SNL is going to make the room open for viewing now... there are already 5 players, but chatting can be done during gameplay.
Karen
Hi snl,
Would love to join you guys, but tonight is my night off and I'm supposed to be having "Family Night" right now! so I gotta go, but...
I just wanted to tell ya that I do appreciate you and your purpose for being in my life on MB forum. I'm glad that you are tough enough to handle all the beatings you take around here and wanted to apologize for my attitude toward you the other night.
You, thinker, OW and her family are all ever in my heart and daily prayers. Stay strong and it's okay to be weak too--God is the strongest when we are at our weakest. Have fun playing! Will try to join in the fun on another night. I'm out!
