(((((sing)))) Sorry there have to be these anniversaries. They are tough. My H gave me roses for our 16th in June, then went and slept with OW that night. Sometimes there's no getting around it; life can really suck. I hope for you by next year, this will all just be a distant memory.

Dear Sing,
<<<<<Hugs to you>>>>>
My anniversary was marred with OW also. She had the nerve to call on that day and twice the next. Go figure. The gall of these OWs.
Hon, I am sorry for this pain. There were happy memories for you and you have 2 handsome boys. This no one can take away from you. Let your boys take you out and share the time together.
L.

I'm sorry Sing. Anniversaries are a bad trigger for me also.
On our 14th is when H told me our marriage was over. Then in the Divorce legal docs he got our anniversary date and year wrong. He ALWAYS ALWAYS knew the date and year pre-A.
You are in my prayers and thoughts, Sing.
Love,
Jo
[This message has been edited by Resilient (edited August 30, 2001).]

Our 21st anniversary was June 14th and it was a nightmare. We went out the night before...and Hubby showed no emotion or interest. The next day (our anniversary) he ignored me. Took my son out shopping all day and came back and bought him a new $200 bike...but no card or anything for me. I give him a very nice card and thanked him for the night before...going out to dinner and a movie with no arguing.
Hubby crossed off his name off the envelope and put mine on it. He wrote on the other side of the card " Patty, last night was ok. But where is the passion. The passion for you has died." He put it under my pillow and left without saying a word to me. I tried to talk to him as he was leaving the driveway. But he started backing the Bronco up and said he would get out and walk if I didn't get away from the Bronco. So, I moved away from his truck and roared out of the driveway. That was my anniversary. I found the card the next morning. It was crushing. Oh well!!!!

(((((((((((Sing))))))))))))). Not a lot I could say to try and comfort you - sometimes a hug, prayers, and a shoulder to cry on is all I can offer...
You are in my thoughts, Paint.

sing, dear sing,
I remember when mine and David's 20th anniversary hit -- I had filed for divorce a week or two before, and I was so unsure if it was the right thing to do still... see, I still loved him.
He was living in an apartment, the OW (#5) very firmly in place. I remember he came by the house, said Happy Anniversary, and that was that.
I cried a LOT that day.
(((((sing)))))

WHOA - OOOO- where have you been? I have read so many of your posts and really identify with alot of your problems. I was driving south on 95 today, and saw a SUV with tags that said PLAN B and I wondered if that might be you (I live in Woodbridge and work in Rosslyn...) and where is WAT these days??

How awful for you. I feel for you. You could really use a huge hugging session. What sadness we endure in this world.
My 19th anniversary is tomorrow. I was going to go off alone, but it is the holiday and I guess I don't want to be caught in tourist traffic. It'll make me too nervous and I want calm. So, maybe WH and I will take the kids up north together. I have already told my son he will watch the girls while I go to the airport alone to get hubby. I want time alone to talk with him and its an hour drive back.
I'm very mixed up about the anniversary tomorrow, but hopeful as our conversation was so positive last night although I also did get the info out that he did go to WashDC to see her this summer and slept there. He still won't admit to PA however. I called the counselor today and got an appt next Tuesday so am really relieved about that.
My heart really goes out to you. My WH also said in his email to me today that he hasn't felt anything in a long time as far as feelings for me. That hurts. What a wake up call. This roller coaster ride is aweful. I hate rollercoasters, by the way.
Mikkey

quote:
Originally posted by miserynmissouri:
Our 21st anniversary was June 14th and it was a nightmare.
