Okay ... Calla30 started a thread where she was looking for "Success Stories", altho her Post title didn't state that. So I have started this thread so you all can read the Recovery Success Story attached. I hope this helps and comforts everyone going thru this very sad and terrible situation.
Blessings,
Jo

http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum37/HTML/009501.html
------------------
"Remain flexible like a reed, as opposed to an oak which can snap in the wind"

Thanks Orchid ....
Hey, how are you doing? Can you please share your latest status with me, L? I think of you all the time and worry about both you and Lora.
Just got off the phone w/Lora. She is putting together a plan for her vacation. BTW: I will be driving by her house during that time and if a strange vehicle is in the driveway, I'll be knocking on the door or making my way to the backyard to the hot tub! HMPH!!!! I have elephant balls, huh? lol Heck .. why not, I have nothing to be ashamed of.
Jo

I was glad to see the "success story" post. I've never been one to post often, but it was great to see many familiar names and hear how things have gone.
I came to this board in September of 99. My H's affair had gone on for over three years. He expressed his desire to end it but it took him another year to do so. During this time I plan A'd a lot and prayed a lot. It was a roller coaster ride with the affair stopping and starting many times. I am glad to say that it is now over (as of January 01).
Our relationship at first was very akward as we starting do more things together....we are more open with each other...I feel the affair has made us stronger. We have been together for 29 years now. We met in High School. So I feel that we have grown up together. We bought a new Harley Davidson that is more comfortable for me to ride and have been taking many trips together.
We are happy but there is always an underlying since of extreme sadness and much regret for the time that we lost. I feel that there is a big hole in my life history that was spent in denial, anger and being withdrawn. I don't take him for granted anymore, and he doesn't either.
All in all, it has been a very rough journey, but I would encourage everyone hear to truly follow the Marriage Builders principles because I feel that it did help. Also being able to read and post on the board was great. At that time, most "posters" were always positive, optimistic, etc.
Good Luck to all.
