You guys that have counseled with Harley over the phone...have you been able to turn into health insurance provider for re-imbursement...don't know policy on counseling via telephone...any different than office visits. anyone's thoughts....his (Harley's) charges are the same I am currently paying counseler for office visits....<P>------------------<BR>always-faith4us

Hmmm, I never thought to check. I just assumed it wouldn't be. Although it SHOULD be, if marital counseling is covered by your policy. Normally marriage counseling isn't covered at all, only individual counseling.<P>Good question. <P>B<BR>

Having been in counseling with the Harleys and having asked that question, I can tell you that Marriage Builders will not bill your insurance companies. They don't work with insurance. <P>If your medical policy covers therapy, then you can submit the Marriage Builders invoices to your insurance company and get reimbursed.<P>------------------<BR><I>Pain is a given, misery is optional.</I>

I work in the medical field and I deal with insurances every single day. I would suggest calling your medical insurance company and speaking with a benefits representative. They will be able to tell you what is covered and what is not. If marriage or family counseling is covered, your insurance company should be able to give you a list of counselors you can go to. The insurance I have will cover family counseling but not marriage counseling, I would have to pay a $15.00 co-pay for every visit and they would only cover 20 visits per year. Luckily, the company I work for has an Employee Assistance Program where marriage counseling is free.
