Hi everyone, my wife and I have been married for about 13 years. After 2 kids, the death of 3 of our parents, 2 degrees, and many other changes, we've probably ignored our relationship for too long and have hit a crisis point. Not sure we are ready to jump into marriage counseling. Two part question:
1. Where do you go to find the right resources to help a marriage? It seems there are so many places where you can find books, courses, workshops, blogs, etc. How do you aggregate all this into something that can help?
2. How do you ensure you find the right resources for the core problems? At this point it seems there are so many issues and it would be nice to find something that can hone in on the issue so we are wasting time and making things more frustrating.
Appreciate all your input in advance.

DataPaul, Welcome, I think you'll find everything you need to improve your marriage on this website. The best place to start is to read Dr. Harley's "Basic Concepts". His ten basic concepts are the basis for his marriage advice, and well worth the short time needed to read it. There are links to more in-depth articles about each of the concepts from there. This forum is a great resource, and the daily Marriage Builders radio show is highly recommended. Dr. Harley's Basic Concepts

Hi DataPaul, welcome to Marriage Builders. The marriage industry is very confusing because there is so much bad information out there. Most marriage programs do very little to save marriages. The difference between Marriage Builders and other program is that MB focuses on restoring romantic love to marriages. Other marriage programs focus on "resolving conflicts," but people still end up divorced because they don't restore romantic love. Here is a really good thread that will tell you more about the program: Start hereDr Harley and Mrs Harley have a free radio program every day that is very helpful. You can access it here: https://www.marriagebuilders.com/marriage-builders-radio.htmPlease check out those resources and come back and we can help you with any questions.
