I have told my husband for years that I do not like him touching me while I am sleeping, yet he continues to do so... I feel disrespected and no longer want to be near him... How can I get over this and save our marriage?

Welcome to MB

Could you please answer a few questions?

How long married? Do you have any children?

What does he say when you tell him this?

Married for 19 years and 2 children still at home. He feels bad for upsetting me and claims he is doing it for me - even though I’ve asked him not to...
I’ve sacrificed my career to support his and have raised the kids almost on my own. In the early years he had an addiction to computers/technology and had an online affair while I was pregnant with our first baby. I have worked so hard over the years trying to get over that betrayal only to be met this new feeling of distrust. I feel like it doesn’t matter what I say, he is just going to do what he wants.

So sorry about the betrayal. It sounds like you may not have recovered from his affair. How long ago did it happen? Who was it with? How did you find out?

Dr. Harley has a very specific plan to recover from affairs. Have you read Surviving an Affair?

How old are your children?

Yes I have! Very helpful - reading helped me understand that I am not crazy and m feelings are valid. I will have my husband read it as well.
