Okay everyone, my letter to my mom is finally finished, after a week of many revisions thanks to Dazed. My question is should I send it just like it is or shall I not? If I do send it, should I have my H write something on how he feels and send it with my letter? I really want all the advice on this PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
hopeful, you should send it. But send it alone, you are trying to show your mom that you can stand on your own two feet. At a later time your husband can write to her. But do it alone this time, although your H is part of it, this needs to be between you and your mom. Good luck

hopeful-
I understand if you want to present a united front w/your H, but the issue you have w/your mom goes way back and is really between you and her. This is your stand. Also, if she tries to suggest that H put you up to it, don't let her avoid the issue by passing blame to him. You want her to know that you came up w/this ON YOUR OWN but that, yes, he does support you.
Good Luck and God Bless!

I agree with everyone else, if Empty Shell is a part of this she will be able to make herself believe that HE is making you do this, then you will have to go through the "he's taking my baby away from me thing"
It is hard for parents to let go, but the day comes when we have to. We have to believe we did a good enough job of raising our kids that they can live w/o us, they will have to one day.
------------------
Just call me - Deb
------------------------
The only day I can do anything about is today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet mine.
