My H told me before the divorce was final that he didn't miss me at all. How is that possible? Even if he doesn't miss me, what about the kids? I don't see how you can just disconnect from your wife overnight. Will he ever miss his family?

Probably. But the more delusional, arrogant, and selfish he is by nature the longer it will take. The question that he will have to face by then is: "Will you and the kids still miss him?"

nonplused,
You bring up a very good point. I have wondered myself how he will feel as time goes by and the three of us are still a family while he is on the outside looking in. Do most betrayers feel lonely and isolated eventually? I would think you would get to the point where you felt no one cared for you at all anymore. I would rather have my kids love and respect than that of another person.
AD

One of my kids said, after their father left but before discovery, that he must hate me more than he loves the kids.
I will never understand how someone would choose to be with another adult, no matter how much they loved them, over their own children.
