ok this isnt about me.<P>Over the last 18 or so months I have noticed 4 couple from irc (they know each other irl) have gotten engaged but it seems they all will be having long engagements.<P>To me you are engaged long enough to prepare to for the wedding not for years and years, or prehaps im just being old fashioned.<P>

I want to reply this one because no one has said anything so far.<BR>I think the length of engagement depends on the couple and the circumstances they are facing.Sometimes people want to finish school first or they want to overcome certain things first.<BR>My engagement was 3 and a half years long because we couldn't be together in the same place because of school but we wanted to promise each other our love and that we will spend the rest of our life together.So there are many reasons and it depends on your preference.<BR>If you wanna have your engagement long enough to prepare for the wedding thats still fine, maybe better for you.<BR>Thats just how I see it.<P><P>------------------<BR>maxini
