I will be wed soon, and my mother is exhibiting many signs that she feels threatened by my future in-laws. She has behaved this way in the past, and I am concerned that it may stress my new marriage

Don't let her get to you that easily. If she is having problems with your in-laws sit down and ask her specifically what she feels threatened about. See what her side of the story is and If it is legitimate then try to help her understand them (if you can) if you cant help her then take your questions to your new husband to be.
