I have posted on another board regarding this problem. I am involved with someone who is verbally abusive and I am concerned about the long term. <P>I will not think about marriage or living with this person if the abuse doesn't change. But I still hate dealing with the things that are happening.<P>I am not dealing with this problem very well and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to handle this better.<P>Thanks

I can only say this ..... don't expect it to get better. <P>If it's not good now and you see no plans to marry down the road so long as this behaviour remains - why stay? What is it benefitting you? You need to move on and enjoy your life. There is better out there for you.<P>I was involved in an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship for 5 years and as time progressed it got worse not better. Walking away was the best thing I did as it was only destroying me and he was enjoying life not caring that mine was in shambles.
