How do you deal with mother-in-law who wants to stay few weeks/ 1 month when you're newly married and trying to settle into that?

For me, complete honesty is best:
Tell her that you are still trying to learn to live with each other and adjust to married life, and it would be very, very difficult with her added in, as well.

Thank you for your reply. My husband and I have discussed that, but I know that his mother and siblings run a good set of head trips when they want to. We'll end our discussion in agreement, and he'll come back later with a different point of view and be angry with me if I don't agree.

Have you mentioned that fear to him, as yet? This is the *best* time to start with open, *respectful* communication about your feelings.
