Hello All,
I just registered today. I have looked around the site and so far I like what I have seen.
In brief...I am getting Married 9/25/04 and I am very scared. I am a single 37 yo mom of a 10 yr old son. My soon to be Hubby was married for 7 yrs and has no children. Our Pastor has came up w/ a good idea for helping us blend as a family. We are going to have what he calles a Spiritual Adoption after our wedding vows are exchanged. This we hope will help my son adjust to haveing a full time Daddy. We have been in this relation ship 5 yrs now. The real test will come when we all move in together. Any advise you can share will be looked at w/ wide open eyes and an even more open heart.
We have just returned to our Christian Faith w/in the past few months and want to grow as a family as well as a family in faith.
Thank You, God Bless.

I'd suggest you *both* read the book "Blended Families" by Maxine something can't remember her last name--

I think it will give you both a pretty good perception of what to expect--
