That your little signature at the end..prayer doesn't change things..it changes you for things..was like a lightbulb that went off in my brain..i am very religious and had been praying for years...wondering why things never seemed to happen..but thanks to your quote...I try to pray differently now....my husband thought it was a neat thing for me to realize....I pray with better eyes..and a better heart...Thanks again...

------------------
In the end I want to be standing at the beginning with you...

E,
Thanks for your posting. It was one of the things I learned along the road of life. I found it very beneficial as its helped me think in a different perspective. Over the years I've wrestled with usual questions about God, faith, and why things are allowed to happen in this world the way they do. Over time I put together my perspective of what we're here for and what life is all about that was in harmony with all the hardship in the world today. That "signature" at the end of my postings is part of those discoveries and to me, seems to be the message that's so often missing when people refer to asking for help through prayer. I've come to believe that (hard as it seems) everything that occurs here on earth happens for a purpose. Life wasn't meant to be easy. Each issue in our life is a building block or opportunity to grow both spiritually and as a person. Hence, my perspective that assistance through prayer comes in the form of support for you rather than changing the circumstances you're confronted with. Anyway, enough of my philosophy - glad you found it of benefit!
------------------
Prayer doesn't change things for you - it changes you for things.
