I Have Thought by Sean Kelly October 8, 1997<P>I have thought, <BR>About the times when I loved you,<BR>I wanted to buy you flowers,<BR>But I didn’t<P>I have thought, <BR>About the arguments we have had,<BR>You needed a kind word from me,<BR>But I couldn’t.<P>I have thought, <BR>About being romantic with you,<BR>I wanted to take you out,<BR>But I didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>About when I was happy to be with you,<BR>I could have shared my joy,<BR>But I didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>About when you were upset or sad,<BR>I should have helped you smile,<BR>But I didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>When live was getting dull and predictable,<BR>I should have sparked our passion,<BR>But I didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>When inspired by emotions of love,<BR>To write my thoughts in poems,<BR>But I didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>When you were feeling left out and unsure,<BR>To let you in and show you me,<BR>But I didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>When you got upset and was feeling hurt,<BR>To hold to tight and reassure,<BR>But I didn’t<P>You have thought,<BR>When there were too many didn’t’s<BR>That you could try again,<BR>But you didn’t.<P>I have thought,<BR>That there were too many didn’t’s<BR>I would change the tide<BR>But you didn’t<BR>

I sent this to my W, via E-mail. She replyed " I hope you use this in future relationships". Last night she told me that it mad her cry, Caus I didn't<P>------------------<BR>brownphdt<P>

Thank you for the feedback. There is alot of emotion tied up in that poem. For me, it is a poem of hope as I am still with the one I wrote it for. I don't think she cried when she got it but I sure did when I wrote it.

Stile,<P>Funny how that works - we can unleash so much emotion when we allow ourselves the freedom to write what we feel. If your wife didn't shed a few tears when she read of your failures and hopes for a better future she missed a great wet-eyed, ten-tissue moment. Great words Stile!
