Never ending Dream<P>I lay with trembling lips and hands<BR>Tiny shivers escape from my soul<BR> It has been touched and tweaked<BR> My hand touches my cheek<BR>It is warm from the dream of you.<P>I do not want to sleep or kiss the<BR>Dawn’s gentle brow, for I fear<BR> Reality may consume<BR> What may be unspoken doom<BR>If I wait for the sun to shine.<P>Bittersweet tastes mingle on my lips<BR>With words you have spoke<BR> I know what cannot be<BR>Yet I still dream, of me<BR>Flapping my wings out into the night.<P>I will awake to gently sip this<BR>Never ending dream, drunk on images<BR> My mind is lost to your universe<BR>But my soul has been cursed<BR>To breathe stale air<BR> Until I learn to inhale<P>And my heart learns not to be frail<BR>-----------------------------------------------<BR>Carefully, I slip into you<BR>Only to realize I do not fit.<BR>For years, I flapped like a fish<BR>On dry land, belly up but<BR>You did not notice.<BR>For you were always too far away to notice<BR>I was gasping for air<BR>And dying for you.<P>-------------------------------------<BR>all poems copyrighted and written by me <BR>

I really enjoy the smashing, shattering glass one (can't remember the title! OOPS!) <BR>but, I think this is so great!
