When my heart was made of stone I wrote a poem for the Sun.<BR> And she kept it.<BR> And she changed me.<BR> And I knew she was the one.<P>I have never felt a warmth, like the warmth that she could give.<BR> She changed my heart,<BR> from stone to flesh,<BR> with a new reason to live.<P>That very Sun's<BR> given me gifts<BR> on her brightest afternoons.<BR>Two beautiful budding flowers<BR> And how I've loved to watch them bloom.<P>I curse the day,<BR> I pushed away,<BR> my Sun into the clouds.<BR>The one that gave me love<BR> more love<BR> than any heart allows.<P>I can't recall the moment,<BR> that my heart turned back to stone.<BR> What made me make her think<BR> that she was better off alone.<P>So now I'm writing another poem,<BR> for my prescious Sun to keep.<BR>To make her understand:<BR> I need her to be complete.<BR>To show her she's changed me again,<BR> And I really have this time.<BR>And I'll be a better man,<BR> If she'll please come out and shine.<P><p>[This message has been edited by GettingCloseAgainIHope (edited September 02, 2001).]
