Dear Father,
I want her to have remorse for her actions. I want her to see herself for what she really is...needy and desolate and lost. Will You grant this selfish request? Revenge is Thine. That is what You have stated. I don't want to do anything to her, myself. I want stuff to happen though that really gets her attention. Mostly, I want her to leave my H alone and that it is crystal clear that he has and has had no interest in her. I want that to be clear to me too. Please forgive my selfishness in this matter. I know that I have acted cocky and had revenge in my heart and with my H for things I've said. I guess I haven't given You much chance to act on this. I haven't let You be in a position to take revenge, because I have done it all myself and it is so inadequate. I need to keep my mouth shut, I believe. With Your help, I will not say one more thing about her. She is out of my hands. I give her to You to deal with. I won't put my H in a position of Executioner. That's You. I know You are more than adequate to handle the situation. I know that I should pray for her salvation. So I ask You for the blessing of knowing that my prayers and even something I did or said had such an impact that she turned to You. That would be the sweetest revenge of all.
Note: This may not make too much sense because I haven't taken the time to write every detail of our situation. But I think the idea is there. This is all that remains of that prayer. That's the only part I felt I could share and I hope it helps other faithful spouses to forgive the other person. I'm also hoping it helps me.
