A Miracle<p>
I saw a miracle today
When I saw a bunny drawn with crayon
Feeding happily in a garden of blues and greens
And a face beaming with the pride
Of creation
I saw a miracle today
When I saw a little boy climb higher
Than he thought he could, reaching for the top
And seeing, when he got there,
That he did it.
I saw a miracle today
When I saw, in the dying light
The spray from the sea feathered like roses pink
Against the swiftly dark'ning sky -
The garden of God.
I hope I never live a day
So consumed by my fears and hurts
That I miss what family, friends, and God himself
Are making my life to be -
A miracle.
