I lie awake sometimes at night to find unspoken places
To grasp my dreams of blissful streams in fields of country graces
An ocean shore with sunset view, the beauty left untainted
As I unwind, these things I find are thoughts my mind has painted
A single rose in warm spring rain stirs up the perfect mixture
I close my eyes under mellow skies to see you in the picture
Your look that captivates my sould like a snow filled meadow pasture
I remain in this vivid plain to see those eyes of laughter
For what it's worth, to feel your touch, I'd give these roads I've traveled
These thoughts I'd miss yet for one kiss my world could come unraveled
But if this moon never beams I'll see you in my dreams
And there I will hold you forever
If these stars never rise to reveal your bright eyes
I still know God brought us together
Let my mountains fall if still willows call
And winds whisper out your name only
Take my fields away, turn my skies to gray
If just you won't leave me here lonely
Close my eyes to see your arms wrapped around me
Still pulling us closer together
Yet if this moon never beams I'll see you in my dreams
And there I will hold you forever
Yes if my moon never beams, you'll still be in my dreams
Always in my arms Forever
Jay

Thank you for the compliment. I don't think my wife has ever really liked the poems I write for her, but I hope one day she will.
[ May 20, 2002: Message edited by: roman77 ]

Wow! I am sorry for that. I have never met a woman that wasn't made to feel special by a poem.
You do indeed have a gift. Please keep using it here. And I promise to keep reading them.
jd
[ May 18, 2002: Message edited by: jdmac1 ]

Hi Jay,

Yes I'm here almost nightly. How are you doing? Are you still writing? I so enjoyed your poetry. I look for it all the time.

I hope things are going well for you. I'm generally ok but find solace here. I feel mostly so alone as I really have no one to talk to who would genuinely understand what we are going through here.

Hope you are happy.

Esther in Texas

Hey 2002es! I hadn't seen you post in a while and just wondered if you were still around =) (I only look in the poems section so you're probably elsewhere)
Yes, I'm still writing. That and playing the piano are my only releases right now.
I understand what you mean. Unless you've been through this, you can't understand it. Where are you in Texas? I live in Ft Worth.
Well take care and it's good to see you post again
