The first time we met on that porch. I felt something no one else could know.
Why didn't I say no?
When the church doors opened and I saw you for the first time. My eyes watered, my heart lept for joy. I knew you would make me happy and we would grow.
Why didn't I say no?
When we conceived our little ones and we watched you grow and grow. We thought we were in heaven because our smiles let it show.
Why didn't I say no?
We took our sleds and went as a family and had fun in the snow. We played and laughed together as we shivered from head to toe.
Why didn't I say no?
Now I sit here all alone wanting to have your love again. I look back and see the devastation. I see your eyes looking at me with hesitation. The love bank has been depleted to a level we can not fathom. I look to God and cry out
WHY DIDN'T I SAY NO?
I pray with faith and perseverence that God will heal our marriage. I look to him for strength and guidance to help me put before you honesty and trust that I know I must show. Even when God restores our marriage the one thing I will always ask.
Why didn't I say no?

That's a great poem cajunky. I'm still praying for you and your wife. I hope things work out for you. My divorce date is quickly approaching as well. Doesn't look good, but you never know what God has planned.

Thanks roman...thats a great compliment coming from such a great writer as yourself. Actually it is my first poem ever. I know you know how it is but it just came to me while I was laying in bed watching television.
Thanks for the prayers. You are still on my prayer list too. God can do spectacular things if we let him.
