The words i write can only help to heal
the pain in my life that is oh so real
my arms are scarred, i tried to numb the pain
tears i cried mixed with the falling rain

I alone chose the roads i have travelled
as all around, m world has unravelled
one moment of pain is all it sometimes takes
to build a wall,misery and suffering is what it makes

people in your life, they come and go
some bring joy others bring woe
the ones that bring woe, seem to always betray
the ones that bring joy, ive pushed away

the one that brought true joy in my life
i asked her one day to me my wife
ive killed our love through the years
ive made her cry so many unnescessary tears

the one i love , i may have lost
and ill keep trying no matter what the cost
to show to her that i was wrong
the best thing in my life was there all along

i spend my days wishing she was near,
i dream of her, i awake in tears
everywhere i go, i see her face
if only for a moment, then , empty space

this beautiful paradise in which i sit
helps clear my mind, if only for a bit
my life seems so empty without you near
no longer are you there to wipe away my tears
