I'm so frustrated. If anyone else has dealt with this or has any insight, that would be great. I feel like my husband is so incredibly controlling and disrespectful of me. For example, he got mad because I was wearing make-up to an interview and threw my make-up in the toilet! He destroys my things when he gets angry with me and says really mean hateful and hurtful things to and about me. I feel as though I must ask permission and gain approval before I am allowed to do anything, or suffer the consequences. Counseling does not seem to help this much. I'm so ready to leave but I know that is not a biblical solution. Any suggestions?

Hi Wilson,

I am not sure but your situation seems to sound a bit like verbal abuse. Again I don't know but you may want to post this in the Emotional Needs or Resolving Conflict portion of the forum. That way more people can respond and give you their thoughts.
