Just a quick little "release" for me. Please don't mind my crudeness towards the end...I was getting a little angry.
Two lost souls Who were never meant to last Gripping out for each other And holding fast
Both needing someone to be All they weren’t within Both too needy to love Too scared to really give in
She had been hurt so many times and was full of doubt Her heart, though, longed to cherish she didn't really know what love's about
She was seeking to fill the hole Gaping in her heart Ignoring all her private pain Fill it with a new love’s start
No confidence, no self-esteem She’d lost it all long before Didn’t much love herself She’d rather love someone else much more
Then he came into her life And she needed someone to hold He said everything right And his arms protected her from the cold
She was caught up in a euphoric high He told her she was his sun, his moon and his starlit sky
And she felt beautiful She was loved, and she knew She was desired, she was admired There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do
His love made her see That she was already everything That she ever needed to be
But he had some problems of his own That she chose to ignore He loved the computer And all his cyber whores
She begged and pleaded To be all he ever needed She thought she was his world
But words don’t mean a damn thing, baby As she was coming to see He may have loved her at one point in time But he was so addicted to his game that he could no longer see
Two lost souls Who were never meant to be One so caught up in his game The other quick to throw all the blame Now they’re apart and nothing’s the same He set her free
