Crying

I`m nothing more
Than flesh and blood
And a huge resevoir
For tears that flood

My pillows and sheets
My shirts and sleeves
Stacks of tissues
Even leaves

I cry in the forest
And weep on trains
I howl and wail as
Sadness drains

I sob each morning,
in my OJ glass
I break down at lunch
As workmates pass

I snivel at dinner
And wimper at bed
My feelings are blue
But my eyes are red

But these tears are mine
Held jealously
Don`t say they must stop
Don`t take them from me

I`ll cry if I want
It`s part of my pride
But if you see me smiling
Know I`m crying inside

If you are feeling exactly what you wrote in this poem...you might be going through situational depression. I went through that and counseling along with anti D's helped me tremendously. My thoughts became more focused and I was able to put things more into perspective. I'm just concerned because your poem sounds as if you are really feeling a lot of turmoil. Hang in there, there's a light at the end of the tunnel (-:

Hi Shooting Star:

Thank you for your concern. Yes, the pain of divorce is great but I must admit that I don`t cry as often as I did in my poem. I do have a life to manage as well; my children, pets, home care, work, friends, and a baseball team; so I guess I cry only in my "spare time"; when and if I have any.
