The Storm

I had set sail on the sea of life not quite sure were to go but had a destination in mind.

I charted my course only to be thrown a drift time after time.

I had chosen to ignore my navigator who only sought to steer my on a straight course!

Soon I wandered into waters dark and dangerous facing monsters bent on making my journey worse!

I tried in vain to fan my sails to call on the wind to my aid but instead called forth a storm

The storm came up with the fury of a thousand hurricanes bent on my destruction!

In the storm I was tossed, thinking for sure this time I was forever lost!

Yet my navigator still held firm!

We two are filled with fear and doubt.

In the tempest we are tossed about. I struggle to steer my vessel to a safe port!

I fear for my sanity, and I fear for those who are trapped in this storm of my calling!

I lash myself to the wheel; I will stop my self from veering to the rocks, to stop my falling.

I had heard the song of sirens, and failed to avoid their dangers now the storm has left me deaf to their songs!

I only need the hand of my navigator the help me steer away from the breakers.

I will hold on to the words of the navigator, I will listen and remember
To the charted course.

I will ride the storm, I will not fail, and I can see the calm ahead.
The danger of the storm is still real but I have learned how to cut the waves.

I am no longer battered as I was; I must still deal with the spray that leaves me damp and fearful of another storm.

Despite the fury of the gale, and the twist of the whirlpool I have not drowned.

I will find a safe port in which to dock; a harbour built on solid rock.

I will build a lighthouse to keep safe my navigator and light my own way and chart a true and unfailing course.

you needed to pay more attention to the weather
warnings.

a good sailor would not go out in a gail.

also would pay attention to the clouds and the skys.

for now stay in port and read the maps and go over your charts and talk to your 2nd mate till
you get an all clear, and try again.

perhaps you will make it to your destination
and have smooth sailing.

Keep the wind at your back! and watch out for those whirlpools that can suck you under and keep you twisting till it spits you out..

look for a port in a storm.
any one will do.
If it gets foggy rocks work and listen for the
fog horns..and sometimes whales can keep you on the right course...sometimes things are sent to guide you to keep you going in the right direction..

even on the water your allowed to stop and ask for
directions. IF you see others they always will help you out..only need to stop..Ahoy mate..
and they will gladly steer you right..
sometimes ya might need a tow..

remember to check things over with that mate of

by the way..I know your not talking about sailing but sorta..so had a bit of funnin with ya..
but really you got to watch out for the whirlpools we had a 32 foot sloop and we got stuck in one of those suckers and it was frightning..for sure..till it spit us out..even turning the engine on did nothing for us.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
around and around we went the bow going deeper and deeper down dang scarey..I was spitless..to say the least..grin..what an adventure what a rush...oh..it scared the beegeebers out of me and I almost cussed at the capt..my husband..rofl
HE was actually enjoying it..or else I can't read his expressions..lol..oh well.
that was a fun time..
remember after the storm there is always a calm..be careful with that too.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
