I'm still here
Looking back on yesterdays wedding vows, Wondering what chain of events led me to the place I am now.
I'm still here
Puzzled that I really had not a clue, Until learning the heartbreaking news.
I'm still here
Hearing you say you thought our love was gone, How the emptiness led you to do wrong.
I'm still here
As you told me you turned to someone you thought would listen, And how you sold your soul hoping to buy back what was missing.
I'm still here
Finding it hard to believe, The one I trusted went into that dark fantasy.
I'm still here
Even though I thought I would die, When I learned of the deceptions the lies.
I'm still here
Filled with heartache, pain, sorrow and rage, Feelings I come to experience every night and every day.
I'm still here
As you tried to explain to come up with a reason why, And when the tears flowed as you apologized.
I'm still here
On this rollercoaster we ride, Feeling drained but still giving us a try.
I'm still here
Sitting alone crying in the dark of night, Unable to comprehend how things are so wrong with what should have been so right.
I'm still here
In this place that turned from a home to a house, From a person who thought they were a soulmate but now simply a spouse.
I'm still here
As our love and marriage slowly gets on track, Taking two steps forward and one step back.
I'm still here
When over and over you beg to keep my name, When even angry eyes cannot help but see your pain.
I'm still here
As the sun burst thru the pouring rain, and a heavy heart lightens from pain.
I'm still here
As we once again learn how to love, Humbly on my knees thanking the man above.
There is something you need to know something that needs to be crystal clear, Sinners and players they all disappear but...
The one you thought wasn't there for you is softly whispering,
I'm still here.

Beautiful and God bless you during the recovery. The Lord can make beauty from ashes. His hand of love and mercy is covering you both.
A prayer for you:
Lord Jesus, we thank you today for your mercy, compassion, and forgiveness. We praise You that You are a God of restoration. We seek to exalt you over all feelings and emotions contrary to your Word. Instead, we ask for grace to love each other unconditionally, like You loved and accepted us. Jesus, we exalt You as Lord of our marriage. We ask you to make our marriage stronger than before, more loving than before, more forgiving than before. We give you all the honor and glory. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Check out John 16:33 and have a blessed weekend!
