Please pray for my ex...he is an alcoholic, left me for younger ow, with 2 children, quit his job, moving out of state. Claims they have been friends for 8 years and must be together.
He never wanted children but claims he can love hers (from two different husbands), the two are so involved in their own love of alcohol and self centeredness that more children are being destroyed in the process.
I pray he finds sobriety.

Tabitha,
I say this almost every day. We use the short version in Narcotics Anonymous
The Serenity Prayer
(full text)
GOD, grant me the serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change,
Courage to change the
things I can, and the
wisdom to know the difference.
Living ONE DAY AT A TIME;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the
pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this
sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make
all things right if I
surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy
in this life, and supremely
happy with Him forever in
the next. Amen
Reinhold Neibuhr-1926

I hope it gives you as much relief as it does me.
------------------
BB

Tabatha,
I fully understand the pain you must have in dealing with an alcoholic spouse. I will be praying for you, your husband's sobriety, and the 2 children. Please know that we are here and understand.
