I'm new here. I've been lingering for quite some time, but have never posted. And I hope I'm posting in the best place.
I had a brief affair which ended almost eight months ago. Since the beginning of the affair, I (of course) lost my fellowship with the Lord. Problem now is that I can't seem to get it back.
Since the affair was brief and very few people know about it, I really have no one to turn to.
Your prayers and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You said that you can't seem to get the fellowship back with the Lord. The devil loves it when he hears a child of God saying that. Seek God, he is always there for you. Continue to seek that joy and peace that only he can give you. Start by knowing that if you have sincerely asked God to forgive you, he already has. Now, start forgiving yourself. God said, "sin no more."
You are one of his flock and if one is lost, he does not rest until he finds you or you find him and get back into the fold. He's waiting for you for you are precious in his sight. No sin is greater than the other.
God Bless you and know that you are not alone.

Thank you all for your prayers. Sorry for taking so long to reply but I can only get on-line at work, and things have been pretty busy here.
I know that the devil loves to hear God's children say they have lost their fellowship, but sometimes we have to face the facts and be honest; honest with ourselves and honest with God.
And you're probably right, I'm having a hard time forgiving myself. But sometimes I'm afraid that I'm not really sorry for what I did, at least not to the point of true repentance.
Yesterday somebody told me that someone had challenged them to ask God for a desire to read His Word for three weeks straight and it would change their life. I'm taking a shot at it; what have I got to lose?
Thanks again for your prayers.
