I need some spiritual help today. I'm getting drug down by the enemy and am having a hard
time getting back up.
Dear Lord, I thank You for the caring prayer warriors on this website, and thank You for
leading me to this site last year. My praises are all for You Lord, you have been so good to me and have given me so much already. Thank You Lord for working in the lives and hearts of these prayer partners and their spouses' hearts and lives. I cannot find the right words to express the gratitude I feel Lord.
Father, I come before you this morning to ask for Your help. I feel let down by my H. Help
me Lord to overcome these feelings of hurt, rejection, suspicion and untrust. I can't do it on my own, I need You Father. Lord, I pray that my husband will be confounded and exposed. I pray that the Holy Spirit will overwhelm him with conviction, leading him to You, on his knees, fully repentant and remorseful. Please speak to my husband's heart, pulling him to You. Let him know without a shadow of a doubt that it is You calling him Lord. Let just the thought or smell of alcohol be totally repulsive to him. I pray that those individuals that are hindrances to his acceptance of You are removed from his path, and Spirit-filled Christians are placed in his path to witness and minister to him.
Lord, I pray that the Holy Spirit fills my heart, in every empty spot so that no forces of the enemy can attack. Thank You Father for your unending love and patience with me. I love You and worship You Lord, You are my hope and joy. Fill me today with Your joy. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus' precious name I pray, AMEN.

Dear Alcoholic's Wife,
This cyber-prayer community is an amazing example of how technology can be used for good purposes. I'm praying with you. God has given you a hard test, and you are a brave woman.
I recently became aware of a prayer group in Brazil, people are praying on the internet. My Brazilian friend has a health problem, and her internet prayer group is praying for her all over the world.
I have a friend who is a Rabbi. He wrote a piece (I type for him on his 'puter; his eyes are failing) and it was about how you are never alone if you have God. When they return from Israel I will ask him permission to make a copy of it for you (and me). I forget the passage. With coincidence I had just spoken to a dear friend about being alone in a crowd, and the piece called out her name, and he was gracious in allowing me to have a copy for her.
ALl that you are praying for is good, kind and loving. Blessings on you and your H.
thank you for praying Bellevue. I am a firm believer in intercessory prayer. I would love to have a copy of what the Rabbi wrote. Our God is so awe inspiring. I cannot thank Him enough for being with me through all this. His leading me to MB has lifted me up so many times. There are always caring people here who help you in your weakest moments. I guess I've been weak lately, but I know that God will strengthen me. PTL!

Father, I cover AW and her husband with the blood of Jesus. I ask You to make known to her whatever powers have a hold or claim over AW and her husband, Lord. Expose them to Your glory and light, Lord, for darkness cannot survive in the Light of the Lord.
Father, I give thanks to You for the many things You are doing every day for us, even if we may not see them at the time.
I ask that when AW's husband thinks about or takes a drink of alcohol, Lord, cause him to think about and taste the blood of Your covenant instead. When he is called to go where there is alcohol, Lord, let him hear Your Word instead. When he goes near a place that serves alcohol, Lord, let him see and smell a pen full of pigs wallowing in their own filth, Lord.
Father, we know that our battles are not against our spouses, but against principalities and powers seeking to destroy our families. We cannot fight these battles alone, Lord, and have turned our lives, spouses and families over to You.
Father, I ask that you touch the hearts of AW and her husband. Open them, Lord, and cleanse any impurities there. Heal their hearts of hurt, bitterness and unforgiveness, Lord. Fill their hearts with Your Word and overflow them with the fruits of Your Spirit.
Lord, I ask that you reveal to AW any changes she may need to make in her own life to bring her walk closer to You, for we can only claim the victory if we are walking in Your Will.
Lord, the enemy is pressing her hard today. I ask You to give AW the faith and strength to chase him away. Let her see the small miracles you are sending to help her. Lord, let AW feel Your presence by her side in her struggle, and hear Your voice of encouragement during the weak moments.
I ask these of You in the name of Jesus. Amen

AW, You have been such a prayer warrior for many here on this site. Are you familiar with the song, The Warrior is a Child? We all need prayers every day, even valuable prayer warriors like you.
Father,
I pray that Alcoholic's Wife has received strength and power from you today. Thank you God, that we are only a breath away from seeking your will and your guidance. Please hold her in your loving hands and soothe her with your guiding presence. Be with her husband as he is fighting his battles with the enemy. Give him open eyes to know where he can find You and strength to fight these battles. Release him from the bondage that enslaves him. Lord, we trust that you have this situation under your watchcare and your timing. In Jesus Name, Amen

Thank you all so very, very much for praying for us! I cannot express how much it means to me!!! This weekend ended up being a big improvement over the last few. I felt God's peace all weekend. God heard our pleas, and he answered. My H didn't drink near as much as he usually does. Praise the Lord!! Thank You Lord!
Lost123 - thank you so much. You're in my prayers also. I hope that you are doing ok.
RonS, what a beautiful prayer. Thank you so much. I especially like the part about my H seeing and smelling a pen full of pigs wallowing in their own filth when he is near alcohol! Being an alcoholic is living in a pig sty. I also pray that 3 word prayer, Change ME Lord every day, and the Lord has changed me. He has given me the strength to hold my tongue when my H comes home drunk, and has shown me nearly every day ways I still need to change. I felt the Lord this weekend, especially in church this AM. I clearly felt his arm around my shoulder, patting my shoulder, comforting me. Our God is so good, He loves us so much. I felt that love today, thank you for praying for me.
Hopeful now - Yes I know that song! We all sure do need prayers every day, especially these days huh. Thank you for praying, it means so much to have someone you've never met praying for you and your family. My husband is in a battle for his mind and soul, and he doesn't even know it. I'm thankful that God has enlightened me, showing me how I can defeat the enemy through His word. I pray that he is enlightened soon.
Love and blessings,
AW
