I was not raised ina church environment, but my granny taught me all she believed. My husband on the other hand was raised in a very religious family. When we met he took me to church and I was saved before the congregation. we have been very blessed in our 3 1/2 year marriage. we overcame infertility and are now expecting a baby girl in september. Unfortunately, he has turned away from God and me in the last 3 months. His father came to stay for 2 months during the worst of my pregnancy and filled his head with thoughts about travel and hanging out with friends and that i wasn't a good wife and that my H shouldn't have to tell me everything he does or with whom (FIL--an Hispanic man..married and divorced 3 times) FIL left, and 2 days later a female friend of the family from South America showed up to visit with my sister in law. Suddenly my H decided he needed to spend more time from home, with friends, and with her . He swears they weren't intimate, but she is gone back to SA now, yet he still talks to her by e-mail and is considering a trip to visit his "family" there...I'm sure that means her too. we still owe lots of $ for the baby's bills and can't spare what he wants to spend, yet he seems adamant about going. I have tried to get him to return to church, or to pray, but he flinches away from any mention of God. I know in his heart he loves me and the baby...he wasn't unhappy at all before all the outside influence, but he can't seem to find his way back home. he still lives here in the house and says he's trying to rebuild our marriage, but he's not really here emotionally. And even with her gone he stays away alot.
Pray for us, please.

I will pray for you, too. God wants all of us to come to him whenever and wherever we are.
Father, I lift up this precious family to You. You know what each person needs this day. Both need Your guidance, love, and wisdom. Help her husband come back to his faith and return wholeheartedly to his family. Let him see that the greatest blessings are right under his nose. Give them both a renewed appreciation for You and their marriage. In Jesus Name, Amen

EmptyInside,
I am so sorry you're having to go through this turmoil. Your baby is not born yet, right? Your husband is being attacked by the enemy. He knows what he is thinking and doing is wrong.
quote:
but he flinches away from any mention of God

Of course he's not wanting anything to do with God, because he is deep in sin and doesn't want to face it. He KNOWS he's wrong. Have faith in the Lord EmptyInside. This is a good sign. At least he has a conscience and is being convicted about his sin. Pray incessantly for him EI. Read the post from Emani, New Hope Given, and start praying like she did. I will pray for you and your husband too. God wants your husband to return to Him, so much more than you can understand. He loves him, and wants him saved away from the enemy.
Dear Father, thank You for working in EmptyInside's life, and her husband's live. Lord, we praise You and worship You, for you are our Savior, our Redeemer, our live, and our greatest love. Thank You Lord for guiding us in every way. Without You, we are nothing. Lord, I come before you right now to ask for your divine intervention in this marriage. Lord, you gave this couple a precious gift of a child. Speak to this lost husband's heart, calling his name, drawing him back to You. Show him Lord what his responsibility is as a Christian husband and father. Give him a heart as soft as melted butter, let him see his wife as You see her Lord, to be loved, protected and cared for. I pray that the Holy Spirit will convict this husband so strongly that he cannot turn away from You any longer. Give him a deep abiding love for his wife, and only her Lord. Turn his face and heart towards You. I thank You Lord for all you are doing in this man's life. All the glory and praise is Yours Father. Thank you so much. IJN I pray, AMEN
