I have reached a crossroads with H and need to make some kind of plan by Sunday night. H has been withdrawing from the marriage for a couple of months, I suspect an EA with a woman who has now returned to South America but wants to move to the US. I know they are still in e-mail and phone contact, he swears they are friends if he says anything at all. He had originally agreed to counseling, but many "helpful friends" have given him advice about how to divorce properly so as to get it over quick and clean. Now I don't think he'll go. He went camping this weekend with a bunch of married men, and before he left i hugged him and kissed him on the cheek and told him I had to do it just in case something hapened to him and he didn't return home. Of course, I started to cry a little and he asked why. I told hi m that his changing his mind about our marriage wasn't my fault and that he had been treating me as if he was so angry at me, punishing me when all I had ever done was try to be as good a wife as I know how. He said he didn't realize he had said mean things and I assured him that he had. I also let him know that he was the reason I had ended up in the hospital with contractions day before yesterday (at 5 1/2 months) ...my doc said that stayng awake most of the night and stayiing so upset was causing the contractions. I asked him to please make an effort to treat me with the respect I deserve while we try to figure out what we're doing. I also let him know that if we did decide to go separate ways, then he needed to be sure to help keep up the house (he has let the pool and yard go to ruin)so that it can be sold. I really think it is a passive aggressive way to buy himself more time. He knows if he leaves I will sell the house immediately due to $ strains, but if the house is unsaleable then he's got time to go and return if he wants. At any rate, his last comment to me was that he had some divorce papers in his car for me to look over...a copy of some else's old agreement. I am not ready for this. The truth is that I need him here during the last part of my pregnancy. I don't have family support to count on, and most of my friends live a good distance away. Plus the depression would be horrible for the baby. I need him to help me get through this, I need him to go through the birthing classes and labor and delivery with me, and I need him to be here during the first couple of weeks we're back home after the baby is born. These are physical needs as well as emotional. Also, for the $ sake of our family. Neither of us can afford to live here without the other's salary. During this playing stage of his, he has gotten into a bit of debt. (I think God did it...I prayed when "friend" returned to SA that God would block there continued contact. At the time H was planning to take vacation there to see his "family". Within days, he got a ticket, fell behind in his carpayment, found out he had used al his overdraft protection and got a $500 tax notice for his car that he had neglected to pay. We only have $600 in savings and that now has to go to the taxes.) My gut feeling is that if he stays close and can release his angry feelings toward me (now that he's aware of them) then we can start over more as friends, and with daily contact with me and the baby (she's starting to kick where others can feel her)and lots of prayer, maybe God will touch his heart and help him really SEE the family that he says he so desperately wants to leave.
I need god's guidance in how to approach him with a plan when he returns from camping. I need wisdom, guidance, strength to do what is best. I really fear that once outside this house he will be lost. Here I pray for him daily. I annoint him with oil that the minister at his mother's church gave to her when they prayed over our situation. In fact, his family and all my friends are involved in intercessory prayer for him, but these are the people he has pulled away from. The people he wants to run to all have abandoned any form of church or religion. They encourage and push him to do what feels best for him for the moment. Right now this is especially sensitive since part of the problem seems to be that because of his father's influence(divorced 3 times abandoned 9 children...only speaks to H) and that of the Spanish friend (divorced) and Spanish sister(2 kids, different dads, never married, lives with her mom...acts single..no responsibilty)..H seems to resent the fact that I am NOT hispanic. His mother's family is also American, so it's an unfair resentment. He is avoiding American shows on TV, american music, and all of our American friends.....everyone he sees is Hispanic now. This has never been a problem before. And it's something that once he decides that that is the problem, he knows there is no work to be done. I can't be what I'm not...eventhough i speak and understand it, and can dance all the dances they do, and enjoy the music....I still can only be american...and our child can only be american.
It's a real mess......and I feel really lost. I am starting the book The Power of a Praying Wife today. Bbut I could sure use all the help I could get.
Thank you for being here.
Kim

Father, in the name of Jesus I join with Kim praying for her marriage. Lord we ask that You remove the blinders that her h has over his eyes. That You ,by the power of Your Holy Spirit soften his heart toward Kim and toward their unborn child. We ask that You place witnesses in her h's life, Godly men and women who will give him sound advice based on Your word.
Lord you said if two or more of us agree on anything that You will give us what so ever we ask. Lord we ask now for the total restoration of this marriage, we also ask that You be with Kim, to guide her in the path You have made for her. We ask that you strengthen her through this time and that You protect her child. Lord we know that all this discord comes from the evil one, and You told us that he is a theif who comes only to steal, to kill and to destroy.
But You have over come the devil, You have crushed his power and You then graciously gave us the power to stand against his evil plans and powers. Lord help us to remember that out battle is not against flesh and blood but against the prince of the air who is satan. And so using the power and the authority that You have given us we come against satan and all of his cohorts, we bind the spirits of lust, of selfishness, divorce and of adultry from Kim's h. We also take authority over and bind the spirit of fear that is coming against Kim. Father we speak peace to Kim, and we ask that You give her peace, Your peace and that You strengthen her body and keep her child safe until it's timely birth.
We ask these things know that You hear us, as You heard Jesus when He prayed, because He is in us and we are in Him. In Jesus name we give You thanks that these things are already done, before we ask them, because Lord You know the desires of our hearts. Amen

------------------
Just call me - Deb
------------------------
The only day I can do anything about is today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet mine.
Hepatitis C, educate yourself ! http://hepatitis-central.com/

Dear Kim, I will be praying for you and your husband. Having to go through this emotional roller coaster ride while you are pregnant is probably about the worst thing a woman can endure. I understand your agony and pain Kim. My husband left me when I was 5 months pregnant for our son, and didn't return until after he was born, so I empathize with you. Please know that there are many praying for you and your family.
Dear Lord, we thank You for your precious gift to Kim and her husband of this child. Kim needs you so very much Lord, I pray that Your peace and love surrounds her today, comforting and calming her. Lord, please use these men that her husband is camping with to speak Your word to him. Lay exactly what they should say upon their hearts, and open his ears to hear Your word and no other words. Lord, I pray that you will soften Kim's husband's hardened heart, preparing his heart to receive You. First and foremost I pray that You bring this lost sheep back into the fold, and give him a hunger and thirst to know You that is so overpowering he cannot ignore. Let each step he takes be guided by You, according to Your will. Let his mind be filled with loving thoughts of his wife Kim, the mother of their child. Fill his heart with a deep longing for his wife and family, and no other. Reach out and touch him Lord, bring him to his knees before You. Lord I pray in the name of Jesus that Satan's evil influences are bound in this man's life, and that the Holy Spirit is loosed in his life, right now, In Jesus Name. Thank You Father for working in this husband's heart, mind and soul. I praise You and worship You Lord. We wait upon You for the restoration of this marriage. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN

Thank you both for adding your prayers to mine this weekend. I would like you to know the results of our praying together. he returned from his camping trip today. He called me as soon as he reached his brother's house here in town to let me know he was back. He said they were unloading, eating and washing the car and he'd see me later. A lot of info from someone who doesn't want me to be part of his life! Then when he actually got to our house, I was almost out the door going to the grocery store. He began to tell me of their trip, so I put my keys down , sat down and listened intently to every detail. He shared the whole weekend with me...and I didn't ask for any of it. What's even better is that I had noticed earlier today that his chain and cross that I had given him our first Xmas together, which he hadn't taken off until this mess started, was missing from the jewelry tray. It had been there when I left to go to the movies Friday, before he left to go camping. I had convinced myself today that he had taken it to pawn for $ to pay debts incurred during this time, or to pay for trip to see suspected OW. And now I am rejoicing and praising God from the bottom of my being to the top......my H had the cross around his neck!!!!!!! A silly symbol to some, but to me it just shows God is reaching him in small but steady ways. Please again accept my thanks for your prayers and please keep my little family in your thoughts. God is a magnificent healer!
Kim

Our God is awesome indeed! I hope you will join us on the Power of a Praying Wife bible study that you will find if you scroll down past the infidelity threads. We are working in Chapter One right now using both the book and the study guide.
My husband left me 6 days after I found out I was pregnant 26 years ago, so can relate to the anxiety you must be feeling.
Father, thank you for the immediate answer to prayers and for the changed attitude of this husband. Continue to show emptyinside Your will for her life and how to pray for her husband. Give her insight into her man that she can share her heart and let him hear with the spirit intended. Bind this marriage for all time, Father, renew committment, let this child be born into a united home, full of love, with you at the center of it. IJN, Amen
