Hi, I'm not totally sure I meant to post here in Prayer Requests but since I mainly "hang out" here, In Recovery and Poems, thought I would seek a little more prayer support and celebrate some victories with you.
H has a job interview Friday morning 9:30am MST. It's the job he desires most and it looks REALLY hopeful. The pay is decent and we are excited and in prayer.
I was discouraged but then again I only had 2 resumes out so now I let one of those two people know I can start immediately (I told them not till May 22 previously) and sent out another by email. I have at least 2 or 3 more places to send.
I finally got complete peace (but still struggling with some angry feelings) about leaving our denomination when news arrived that the promotion we normally would have received is denied to H. We expected it to be denied me as I am suspended. H is on sick leave but I always thought that was for compassion and not punishment. When we received that word, we thought well, if 18 yrs uninterrupted sterling service means so little to our leadership, why should we feel guilty for following God in a new direction?
I completely accept and understand mine being withheld and it's basically just a change of title..no monetary compensation or anything. Since the day my suspension was announced to the congregation (but boss just happened to leave out I confessed voluntarily in repentance and contrition) H has been mistreated even to the point of being made to look like a criminal. I found out today the Sunday School Superintendent asked a friend if the reason her SS is down to her own 2 kids is because of what "the *s did"....H did NO wrong! SS Super. is very evil hearted and I have to pray about my attitude toward her constantly. How dare she blame H and even me...I trained and taught her for 2 years..how many pastors would take that kind of time and then I made her stand on her two feet and she did a great job organizing while terrifying women away from the church and not understanding she hurt and insulted them.
Anyway, let's not go there..as you can see, it's a bit too touchy!
H and I are doing good. I feel he is not giving me enough me time. I feel obligated to do what he wants and he can't sit still. Lately when he has wanted intimacy, I have been hurting, down and or tired. I want it too but keep telling him I can't just turn on desire like a man can. I never thought I would be the one to say that.
I have times of panic-like today in a dept store-looking at laundry baskets, coffee makers, sheets, having just bought his interview outfit for over $300 on credit and wondered how we will survive. I don't even own my own laundry basket. Our church provides everything for us...lease vehicle, drug plan, counselling for only $10 our portion...it's a great church although our two paycheques equal the amount of one person's salary. It's exciting to me to choose my own colors for linens and garbage cans, etc but terrifying to wonder where the cash will come from without going into even a huger debt than we carry presently.
14 (our oldest daughter) is grieving leaving the manse-we are only moving a short distance away but she feels the pain as though we were moving to the other end of Canada. She has been doing so well. Doc even said she can come off meds now but H asked we wait a month till we get her thru changes coming up.
11 is doing really well although today she told her C that 14 treats her like she's invisible which is at least better than fighting but still hurts as they don't talk now on a personal level.
so things are all over the place like most normal families with pre/teens. For the most part I seem to do better but the slightest thing knocks my emotional balance off. H is doing super.
Please pray he gets this job. We feel God wants him to have this one and He will give it. Also that we will find our own vehicle VERY quickly as we will resign Monday if H is hired.
thanks for your interest, concern, prayers and replies if you wish to respond. I wish I had more time on here. Things have been far too hectic lately!
blessings!
------------------
Fresh Start

FreshStart:
Read your post. Life can be rough sometimes, especially when you are out of a job.
I shall continue to pray for you that everything works out.
I understand fully what it is like not to have regular, full-time employment, yet, have the bills pile up. This is exactly my (our) position today — down to board.
Nevertheless, I hope things improve for you.
Since we are inb the same boat, job-wise, I trust you will continue praying for an ease in my situation also.
I need a miracle OVERNIGHT.
Clyde

Hi, ClydeA. It's always a pleasure to hear from you. Yes, you certainly will be in our prayers, too. I think H and I are having our devotions soon so we will remember you tonight. We don't know if H got the job yet but the interview went well except for one small question. Hoping that doesn't matter.
How are thing progressing other than finances for you and your W?
Blessings, my friend,
------------------
Fresh Start

Freshstart,
Try not to be afraid the Lord will provide. I know this is all scarey. I have had my hands full of Satan's scares the past few weeks. God has been faithful and is provideing for me and my children. Sometimes it does look like it is happening but God has shown me His power each time in His way and His time. The answers are not always what I was thinking but I know they are best because they come from the Lord. His thoughts are higher than ours. Please read my post God is faithful.
In Him,
gentle

After working with W on a project on which she needed my help, we both agree that we feel very close to each other in a way that we've not felt in years. Hope it lasts.
The MB forums have really helped. I've realized that, without even posting – but just reading – one can get aall the answers to one's problems by just reading.
Every problem, every question, eery situation I needed to have clarified was experienced by someone before and dealt with by others.
This MB site has helped me to understand and get answers when none were forthcoming otherwise.
SKM and KAM6318 (Kathi) were of tremendous help. Your post to me also meant a lot, as I realized that even 'people of the cloth' do go astray.
I have also learnt that having affairs is not only a male thing, but that a tremendous number of married women also have affairs.
This MB site is really GREAT!!!!!
Clyde
