I have been avoiding the inevitable. I know I was wrong -- but I found a breast lump quite some time ago and ignored it for a while now. However recently it began to bother me more and more and today I went in to have it looked at. My mother had breast cancer when I was 11. She was 42 at the time. I am only 29 and scared.
I go in tomorrow for a mammogram and an ultrasound, possibly a sterotactic biopsy. I don't know when I'll find out the results.
My H is not living with us anymore. I asked him to go with me tomorrow and he said he would, but I should remind him.
I have been doctoring the last couple of weeks because my Dr. suspected cancer, because a blood test results. I have had a history of polycystic ovaries and Dr. assumed it was ovarian cancer. After all the tests came back, she was wrong. I found that out today, but am now worried sick that this breast mass may be malignant. I really need H right now. I love him so much and having his warm shoulder to cry on and feel safe in would mean so much to me. But, he is not interested in reconciling. He simply said he'd go because "that's what friends are for". Please pray that everything will be fine and that H will be there to support me. I don't want to tell any of my family about this as they've gone through "breast cancer" before and telling them prematurely would make them crazy.
Your support and that of the Lord is very powerful.
thanks you.
Sun

Lord, please let this be a harmless lump. She has been through so much already, Jesus. Please heal her body and soul. Let her feel Your warmth and Your shoulder to lean on and cry on.

I will pray for you and your situation. In 1991 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I had a tumor removed and recieved 3 weeks of radition. During this time I leaned on Jesus. He held my hand through the whole thing. That was over 10 years ago. There is hope. Where there is God, there is Hope! I pray that God will heal you and that you find peace and strength in the Lord.

Thank you all for your kind and caring words of encouragement and your prayers. I had a mammogram and an ultrasound on Friday. I haven't heard any official results from my Dr. or the surgeon's office, However, the initial findings look to simply be dense breast tissue, or perhaps a blocked duct. I am waiting patiently, but cautiously for the official findings from my doctor, but remain hopeful that everything is fine. I will find out before Friday if they wish to proceed with a surgical biopsy. Then, we can finally be sure.
Thank you so much for your love and concern.
Sun
