Financial woes. I work one full time job; my H works two part time jobs. Monthly child support payments to his XW are more than his two combined paychecks every month. My paycheck alone isn't enough to support the two of us, even without taking part of the child support payments out of it. I was able to put off this month's car payment, but even with that break, we don't have enough money left over for the basic bills, much less for "extras" like food. We can't get any relief on the child support payments (we got behind, which caused them to be *significantly* increased). We don't go out or spend money on anything that isn't absolutely necessary, so there just isn't any way to trim the budget. And to top it all off, I'm five and a half months pregnant, so my hormones are completely out of whack.
Please pray for us that something good will happen.... that one of H's jobs will offer him full time, or that we'll win the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes or something.... all this stress is causing a severe amount of stress to our marriage ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)
Thanks..
Kiera
I fully understand how money problems can add to the already stressful situation. Is it possible to submit a statement of your income and expenses to a judge to get the child support payments lowered? It doesn't seem fair you are having to pay out more than you make.

Life is rarely "fair". No, the current amount is actually triple the normal amount, because he got so far behind in his payments before we were married. He had to agree to the triple payments in order to keep from being put in jail. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif) That agreement was actually made before H got his second job, so things looked even worse then, but through the power of prayer, He led us to the second job. I don't think H could handle a third job, so the extra money is going to have to come from some other means -- either a raise with one of the current jobs (not terribly likely as he's not been with either of them for too terribly long) or something else.
We bring in too much income to qualify for any assistance, and our credit is horrendous, so a loan is out of the question.
I know prayer works... it just doesn't always work as fast as I need/want it to ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

Thanks...
Kiera

PRAYER WORKS!
Yesterday, I was led to "confess" to my boss just how bad things are for us financially.
Today, he proposed a raise AND putting off repaying an advance from earlier this year until the beginning of next year! That's exactly how much time we need to dig ourselves out of this black hole! The amount of the raise plus the amount that I was repaying out of every check is enough to see us through the next six months. We'll be able to pay all the bills AND buy groceries!
Thank you all for the prayers!
Kiera
Life isnt fair, but the Lord is. Seek first His Kingdom and rightousness and all your needs will be meet. I need to hear that as much as you. Im compleatly financially devestated and my family cant come back together until God provides one serious miracle. The Lord will eventually provide. I just wish He would hurry up....But it wouldnt be called faith if it is easy to see.
Mark

I hear ya, Mark. Although our miracle has occurred, we won't actually see the fruits of it until the middle of July, so we have to continue with the belt-tightening (as if I could fit a belt around me these days!) until then.
You and your family will be remembered in our prayers.
Kiera

Thank you kiera, you are also in my prayers. The Lord has done so many miracles already between my wife and i, i forget that when faced with other trials. We may have the provisions by July also. I dont know. Its in Gods hands. Im waiting patiently upon the Lord, no matter how long it takes.
Mark

I'm so happy that your prayers were answered. It is so wonderful to get to know the power of the Lord through you and Mark and the others.
God bless you and this new baby!!
